The 1 oz band carries 3.5 times the gold of a 4mm band and about 2.1 times a 6mm. On the hand, that is a ring you feel all day.
10mm vs 13mm 1 oz Band: Same Gold, Different Shape
Both bands hold one ounce. The difference is how that ounce is spread. The 13mm band is wider, so the same gold makes a thinner wall. The 10mm is narrower and thicker. And because the weight stays at 31.1 g in every size, a large size spreads the ounce around a bigger circle and sits a little thinner than a small one.

1 oz 24K band vs a 1 oz coin ring
Many "1 oz gold rings" online are coin rings made from a gold coin. A 1 oz American Gold Eagle, for example, is 22K gold, 91.67% pure: it holds one troy ounce of gold in a coin that weighs about 33.9 g in total. A coin ring keeps the coin's 22K alloy and design. A 24K band is 99.9% gold all the way through, with a plain polished or hammered surface.
24K Gold Rings for Men: Which Width?

Pinky rings
Any of our bands can be worn on the pinky. Narrower bands, 4mm or 6mm, sit best on a shorter finger; a wide band can feel bulky there. Measure the pinky itself, because it is usually several sizes smaller than your ring finger. Our listed sizes start at 6.
Signet rings
We don't currently offer a 24K signet ring. Pure gold is soft, so a carved or engraved signet face wears down faster in 24K. For a signet, 14K or 18K holds the detail better.
Can You Wear a 24K Ring Every Day?
Yes, with the right band and some care. Pure gold never tarnishes or rusts and rarely irritates skin. It is also the softest karat: a polished band picks up fine scratches and softens to a satin glow, and a hard knock can dent it. A jeweler can polish it back to a mirror.

Sizing a Heavy Band
Wide bands fit tighter, so for 8mm and wider, including the 1 oz bands, most people go up a half size. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one. Measure with our printable ring sizer, or call us at (321) 521-4651. Pure gold can be resized; resizing is a maintenance service, quoted separately.
Each band is made to order in your size, usually in about 2 to 3 weeks; the product page shows the time for that ring. Before it ships, we check the gold with an XRF analyzer and weigh the ring. It ships by UPS, fully insured, with signature confirmation.
